Stop the War Demonstration: Thursday 20th March 2003

This is the third day of demonstrations in Edinburgh. On Monday, quite spontaneously, 300 12-15 year olds left 3 schools, tried to occupy Edinburgh Castle, blocked Princes St (the main shopping street) for an hour, then headed to the American Consulate where the police just managed to head them off.

Wednesday about 3000 in the city centre, from many schools, combined with Mark Thomas to stage a die-in.

Today, there's a roving demonstration which has blocked off various major junctions in the city. Here are some photos.
